I approach design by considering how the intersection of mediums can produce effective solutions. Unique and engaging results can take form by creating space between different binaries, such as the traditional vs digital form. In this way, there are always opportunities for innovation, experimentation, and exploration, and this flexibility of graphic design is what excites me.

Entering a field with little to no work experience can be an intimidating task, particularly for freelance creatives. Koalafied aims to reduce these barriers by connecting these qualified users with collaborators and potential clients by creating a platform for them to showcase their work to an audience in search for talent. Interactions through the app will be conducted in a way that is trustworthy, reliable, and accommodating of both parties’ time and needs.

Prototype



Main highlights include an accessible way for users to promote their work with customizable settings. This allows for a variety of presentation layouts to best highlight their projects. In  addition, it offers exposure to a broad audience that is interested in seeking talent. As a result, a mutually beneficial relationship between sellers and buyers is formed, with both members achieving their professional objectives.

Logotype

The typeface Proxima Nova is used to convey a minimalist approach to the design. In order to let the work of creatives on the platform be highlighted, the logotype intends to not be too decorative and create breathing room for other images that users may upload.
